	Fall Retreat	Spring Retreat

	Twice a year BTQ reserves Byers Conference Center in Roxbury, PA to offer members an affordable opportunity to get away from distractions and spend the weekend having fun quilting. The cost of the retreat is for 2 nights lodging and 5 meals for double occupancy. Single rooms are available at additional cost. Again if anyone wishes to go early, Wednesday and/or Thursday, there is an extra fee. If you are rooming with someone and that person isn't coming early for Wednesday or Thursday but you are, the fee for the extra nights is the single occupancy fee. Meals will not be served until Saturday. Over the years the number of members who attend the retreats have steadily increased. Between the three quilt groups, Buchanan Trail Quiltmakers, Friendship Quilters, & Chambersburg Quilt Guild, there were 75 people who attended the Spring Retreat. Due to the increased participation, it was felt that a committee of people from the three groups would be helpful to make the retreats run smoothly. The committee is made up of Dottie Moreland, Sue Frederick, Sheri Newcomer, Joyce Randolph, and Grace Pace. The following are a few changes that will be taking place with the 2007 Fall retreat:

	1. Members may sign-up for the Fall retreat at the September meeting and the Spring retreat at the January meeting. Contact Sue Frederick or Sheri Newcomer for the Buchanan Trail Quiltmakers, Sheri Newcomer for the Friendship Quilters, and Dottie Moreland for Chambersburg Quilt Guild. 2. Half of the retreat fee is due when you sign up with the other half due at the October meeting (February meeting for the Spring retreat). The fee for the Fall retreat is $102/ double occupancy and $111/single occupancy. This includes 2-nights lodging and 5 meals (3 on Saturday and 2 on Sunday). 3. The conference center is available for early participants if you wish to go early on Wednesday and/or Thursday. The fee for the extra night’s lodging is $33/night/double occupancy and $37/night/single occupancy. If you are planning to go Wednesday and Thursday as well as the weekend but your roommate is only going to be there for the weekend, you will be charged for a single room for Wednesday and Thursday and a double room Friday and Saturday. 4. A flyer with more in depth information about the retreat will be available at the September meeting.
